Computer Integrated Business (CIB) was founded in 1989 in Germany (Munich) with the main focus on providing Document Lifecycle Management solutions.

Today, our business group is an international company bringing together more than 180 employees in 3 European countries and supporting over 300 customers including giants like Volksbank, Generali, BMW, Bosch Siemens home appliances, BMW, Allianz, Deutsche Bank, Unicredit, etc. About 160.000 private customers are also enjoying our services already.

THE GROUP CONSISTS OF:

In 1989 CIB software GmbH was founded by Ulrich Brandner, a former employee at Nixdorf Computer AG (NCAG). At the very beginning of 1992 CIB software GmbH celebrated its independence after acquiring the shares from Siemens Nixdorf (SNI). Shortly after CIB has bought out FGP (developer of insurance-software) to acquire the necessary know-how in the sphere. As a result, it has become a solutions provider for insurance companies in the field of workflow optimization. Two years after, CIB accumulated experience in providing software to public administrations and therewith gained two major customers in the area, i.e. AKDB (Institute for Municipal Data Processing in Bavaria / Anstalt für Kommunale Datenverarbeitung in Bayern) and Austrian Federal Army. By the end of 1995 CIB has already become a recognizable software manufacturer in three areas: banking, insurance and governmental sector.

Gradual growth of the company, together with the extension of the product range, brought about company restructuring. Multiple split-ups, reorganizations and renaming within CIB led to the selection of optimum and the most suitable administrative arrangement. The two main companies were singled out: CIB software GmbH and CIB consulting GmbH. Besides, there were also subsidiary companies such as CIB Web Services GmbH, CIB Host Services GmbH and the company FAIR4U GmbH which engaged in insurance-software.

Long-lasting successful collaboration with a team of developers in Belarus was consolidated by establishing a representative office in Minsk. The company’s new office in Baden Airpark, near Baden-Baden, benefited an archiving system CIB doXima and complementation of product portfolio with an important component to provide a full range of tools for documents lifecycle management.

The period of active growth of the company´s main businesses with CIB labs GmbH in Hamburg, established in 2014, and the new representative office CIB labs S.L. in Las-Palmas founded in 2015. Both centers were created as part of the expansion and internationalization strategy in order to satisfy the growing demand for the company’s products and consulting services.

At the same time the Minsk development center has been growing rapidly these years. Splendid engineering potential of Belarusian developers and a first-rate management became the strong basis for the company’s further success. Increasing interest in our expertise, constant demand for qualified software specialists in Europe and the company strategy aimed at attracting new partners worldwide forced the development of nearshoring services. Finally, a recent merger with another German-Belarusian company, PM&S software, allowed the company group to broaden its expertise, extend the service range and enter new fields such as publishing (own product LookUP!) and TV & broadcasting.

CIB labs S.L. is growing continuously and has therefore moved into its own new premises in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The choice fell on a historical, sophistically renovated old building. It was the wish of the owner and CEO Ulrich Brandner to combine tradition and modernity in a visual and mental way.

At our Munich headquarter, a multipurpose space of 450 square meters called modulE which primarily serves as an area for various events was opened.

In 2019, more than 180 employees celebrate the 30th anniversary of the CIB Group.
